Each year, the Association of Cooperative Educators organizes events to that foster exciting exchanges about cooperative development, research and outreach. In 2019, we hosted our annual ACE Institute in Montréal, and held coop outreach events in Austin, Texas and Minneapolis, Minnesota.
2020 has been a challenging year for many organizations, including ACE. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has forced us to find unique ways to connect with cooperative stakeholders. Through partnerships with Co-operatives and Mutuals Canada we held our ACE Institute online for the first time!
To add to this incredible feat, we will be partnering with CHS to host three virtual Coop career events this fall, in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Oregon. Cooperatives in all three States will meet with college students to inspire the next generation of cooperators. These events will take place via Zoom on the 17th, 18th and 19th of November 2020, respectively, at 3:30PM local time. Should you be interested in participating in this event, you will find registrations links below:
In anticipation of a return to non-distanced activities in 2021, your ACE Board of Directors and administrators are working hard on several exciting projets, including Coop Crawls in Minneapolis, Madison and Portland, OR. Moreover, 2021 will mark the return of our (in-person!) ACE Institute in Vancouver. This event will unite individuals and groups that are working, studying, educating, researching and developing the co-op sector of tomorrow.
Please check back frequently, as information will be announced with regards to the upcoming ACE Institute within the next month!
